Working Towards a More Regenerative World
At Anacapa Beauty, we believe skin care should be both good for you and the planet. We work with only the best all-natural ingredients to create products we know you will love. We have created a line of specially formulated skin care products, all of which are packaged in zero-waste glass bottles and jars. We use circular packaging, which means all our packaging can be returned, cleaned, and refilled to be reused again and again. Through a circular business model, we are diverting plastic and other waste from landfills and the environment. Some of our products are not suited for glass, so we have found sustainable, biodegradable vessels to package them in. Feel free to return your glass bottles and jars to have them refilled, or reuse your container for anything else zero-waste.

My name is Delanie and I created Anacapa Beauty to provide high-quality, zero-waste skin care and jewelry for everyone. As an ocean lifeguard, I spent many summers guarding the beach and staring out at the beautiful Channel Islands from my tower. Being surrounded by this incredible natural beauty inspired me to protect it. Summer after summer, beach goers left countless pieces of trash behind and this filled me with grief seeing our beautiful landscape be engulfed in man-made waste. I spent hours cleaning the beach during and after my shifts, but there was never enough time. Among the litter were food wrappers, cigarette butts, beach toys, and empty sunscreen canisters. This led me to create a simple, waste-free sunscreen for my fellow lifeguards. Plastic free and reef-safe, Anacapa Beauty's sunscreen is what started it all. By limiting waste from the source (production), the end waste is greatly reduced. I began doing more research and found some troubling statistics. Behind food and medical waste, cosmetic packaging waste is one of the most common items in our landfills and ocean. Majority of plastics are not recyclable, and those that are must be fully cleaned and dried if they are to be recycled at a plant. This means that every bottle of lotion, shampoo, face wash, and other beauty products you have every used, still exist somewhere today in the world, whether in a landfill, burned and in our atmosphere, or degrading in our oceans. By eliminating plastic from our products, we ensure that your purchase from Anacapa Beauty will not harm the environment when you finish enjoying your products. My biggest passion in life is to protect ourselves, the environment, and our oceans. We as humans have come to think we are separate from nature, and what we do to nature will not deeply impact us. We are the environment, we are the Ocean, we are the Earth. If we want a chance to heal our world and protect nature for future generations, we must make changes in our daily lives, now.

At Anacapa Beauty, creating quality products that are good for you and the planet has always been our mission. With the challenges of the last few years, Anacapa Beauty has emerged from the chaos to serve you and the local community in a natural, sustainable way.
With health and safety on everyone's minds, we created a plan to keep ourselves and our customers safe in these constantly changing times. All of our products are natural, handmade, and completely sanitized. We follow all CDC protocols and procedures at Anacapa Beauty.
At our pop-up shop, our display products are sanitized regularly. For your safety, the product you take home will be stowed away from other customers until you decide to pick up or purchase. All surfaces and items frequently touched are also sanitized for everyone's safety.
Masks are encouraged. Samples will be available and given out upon request.
Delivery orders can be placed here and will be fulfilled and ready for delivery within 1-2 business days. Because our business is small and local, delivery will only be available to the greater Santa Cruz area until we can expand our shipping. Because shipping through USPS and other shipping services is harmful to the environment due to the long distances the product has to travel before reaching you, the customer, here at Anacapa Beauty we deliver your product straight to you in our own high gas-mileage vehicles to cut travel and shipping costs. Deliveries are cash-only, and our drivers carry change upon request. Our products are delivered to you in as minimal packaging as possible and on your schedule.
To schedule a delivery, select the date and time that works best for you. Our regular delivery hours are from 8:00 am-5:00 pm. Our drivers wear masks and sanitize after each delivery to minimize contact spread of bacteria and viruses.
Here at Anacapa Beauty, we follow a circular model for our jars and bottles. This means that we highly encourage our customers to bring back their empty jars or bottles to be cleaned, sanitized, and reused. By up-cycling and reusing containers as much as possible, you are making the sustainable choice to go zero waste.
